Flow-Sentry

The Flow-Sentry Crusher is a specialized size reduction machine tailored for pipe or round tube transport systems. It features a round configuration, single shaft with welded blades, and stationary bars within its body. It also has a sizing grid that prevents the passage of oversized materials until they are properly shattered by the spinning blades.

The machine operates by utilizing a single shaft equipped with blades, along with stationary bars mounted within its body. As the shaft rotates, the blades traverse through the slots in the stationary bars, effectively engaging with the incoming material stream. This interaction ensures efficient size reduction as the blades shatter and reduce oversized materials.

Flow-Sentry’s Design

The standard Flow-Sentry design is constructed with standard ANSI flange dimensions, ranging in sizes from 3” diameter to 24” diameter. This ensures compatibility with common piping systems. However, its versatility extends beyond these standard dimensions, offering various customization options to suit specific requirements.

Atlantic Coast Crushers designed and created an isolated bearing incorporated in the Flow-Sentry. It helps seclude the bearing from the seal to prevent malfunction in case of a seal failure. Our patented -04 design enables them to have more flexibility as they can be implemented and applied in many systems. These include gravity systems, pneumatic systems, discharge systems, and more. It also simplifies maintenance, which also reduces downtime and increases operational efficiency.

Flow-Sizer

A Flow-Sizer is a heavy-duty piece of equipment used to crush bulky material units and break up and disperse troublesome large materials into consistent, refined, and free-flowing particles through its dynamic crushing action. It uses significant pressure and physical impact to break down bulky material units and disperse them into consistent, refined, and free-flowing particles. While specific pressure values may vary, the primary objective is to apply sufficient force to crush lumps effectively.

This machine uses a large drum with securely-welded short blades that pass through the slots of stationary Breaker Bars at close contact, which enables the sharp edges to perform a series of crushing and cutting motions. Tiny particles can pass through the Breaker Bar slots and continue through the machine, while oversized materials are trapped in the impact area and are hammered, cut, and crushed.

Additionally, this sizer is specifically designed for integration into conveyor systems, chutes, and ducts. It is also applicable to above or below rotary airlock feeders or screw feeds, and within pneumatic feed or silo discharge systems. This ensures versatility across various material handling setups.

Flow-Sizer’s Design

Atlantic Coast Crushers’ Flow-Sizers have bodies bolted together to enable straightforward disassembly and maintenance. Depending on your particular needs, applications, and specifications, the Flow-Sizer machinery can offer Course, Standard, or Fine Blade/Breaker Bar configurations. Sanitary, polished, and side or end Access Plate designs are also available.

Flow Smasher

Flow Smasher is another crushing equipment with high torque and high-capacity capabilities that can crystalize large chunks of brittle materials to a uniform and free-flowing size. The Flow Smasher employs dynamic crushing to break up and disassemble troublesome materials.

Like the other crushing machinery, the Flow-Smasher has rotating blades that serve as crushing hammers, shattering and impacting the trapped chunks of materials and producing consistent and free-flowing reduced-sized materials. Particles smaller than the grid slots smoothly pass through the machine, while any large parts are trapped within the impact area for crushing.

Additionally, the design of the Flow-Smasher facilitates seamless integration with ducts, chutes, and conveyor systems. It also applies to above or below rotary airlocks, silo discharges, or bulk bag unloaders, ensuring smooth material flow throughout the processing operation.

Flow Smasher’s Design

The Flow-Smasher designs are very compact, have concise face-to-face dimensions, and are available with various Motor and Drive configurations. Its construction enables easy integration with ducts, chutes, conveyor systems, rotary airlocks, silo discharges, or bulk bag unloaders. Typical Flow-Smasher designs use one or two rotating shafts with blades and a sizing grid with individually replaceable cross-bars. Flow-Smashers with two shafts have counter-rotating blades.

Atlantic Coast Crushers have three Flow-Smashers designs constructed with two shafts that use different blade setups. These designs are configured to provide optimal crushing power for diverse applications. Our Flow-Smasher design models include:

Hedgehog^™. This model works well to tear long/thin boards, slabs, tiles, or very high capacities of materials that the machinery turned into a fine output size.
Brickbreaker^™. This design provides high levels of power and torque to break down large and hard materials.
Bear-Claw^™. This model features a distinctive design for reducing the size of large, hard blocks of material.

Particle-Sizer

The Particle-Sizer is a compact yet powerful device designed for high-speed, high-output size reduction of dry bulk solids, capable of turning large chunks into fine powder efficiently. Utilizing a high-speed rotary cutter and sharp stationary cutter bars within a sizing cage, this machine swiftly processes materials to achieve desired particle sizes.

The standard Particle-Sizer employs a rapid rotating shaft with spiked blades to sweep and slice against a set of fixed bars. This slicing mechanism is effective in breaking down brittle materials into finely sized particles, reaching as small as 30 mesh or even finer. It is contingent upon the material’s properties and the spacing of the sizing cage.

Particle-Sizer’s Design

The design of the Particle-Sizer centers around its dynamic crushing action, where spiked cutters drive powder chunks against the sizing cage bars at high velocities. This results in exceptional processing capacities. Such capacities can exceed 100 tons per hour for the larger units, making them highly efficient for size reduction tasks. Moreover, the design prioritizes ease of maintenance and assembly, with bodies typically bolted together for convenient disassembly.

The availability of models with either one or two shafts adds to their adaptability. In terms of dimensions, common sizes for the inlet/outlet range from 6” x 6” to 22” x 24” and can be larger as required. This offers flexibility to handle a wide range of materials and processing scenarios effectively.
